Application start for travel agency trainees

From 28.09. - 10.10.23 journaway is organizing the talent expedition "Youngsters on the road" in Bali and Singapore with eight of its trainees. Trainees from partner travel agencies can now also apply for two free places on this trip.

Every two years, journaway organizes a free event trip for its trainees as part of the tourism management assistant and marketing communications management assistant apprenticeships. Last time, they went to Namibia for twelve days: by jeep through the entire country to the desert and dune landscape, the Big Five and the Atlantic coast. This year, the trip will take the ten participants to Bali and Singapore for 13 days.

The event trip is a journaway adventure trip so that the trainees can get to know their own product up close and authentically. All costs such as flights, accommodation, transfers and local activities are covered by journaway. From a Bali highlights tour to rice terraces, jungle swings and waterfalls to an excursion to Nusa Penida and a sunrise hike to Mount Ijen, there are plenty of adventures to be had. The nights are spent in unusual accommodation such as a Jungle Glamping Dome. Another item on the program is a visit to a local social project. journaway already supports over 50 social projects worldwide and the trainees on the journaway talent expedition will also be helping with the Trash Hero World beach cleanup in Indonesia.

This year, for the first time, trainees from partner travel agencies also have the opportunity to take part in this trip free of charge. "This allows travel agency trainees to experience the journaway vibe first-hand and at the same time expand their expertise on journaway round trips," says Annika Sinnen, Head of Partner Management at journaway. "We believe that young travel professionals in particular can inspire a young target group." The starting signal for the application phase has been given and will run until August 13, 2023.
