journaway literally sent travel agencies "into the desert": a cooking course on the roof terrace of a riad and an overnight stay in a desert camp were the highlights of the event.

In March 2023, the tour operator journaway hosted a get-together for travel agencies in Morocco. "I was very pleased about the great interest in getting to know journaway," says Annika Sinnen, Head of Partner Management at journaway. Out of more than 100 applications, a total of 8 travel agents took part - from trainees to travel agency owners. Together with fvw and paxconnect, free places were also awarded and the AER's Young Talents were also in the draw. "I tried my luck and was actually drawn as the winner. The program was really exceptional and we were able to experience the journaway vibe 100% for ourselves. It was also great to meet the faces behind journaway in person," says Magdalena Günther from Reisebüro Berndt.

For four days, the travel agencies were able to look forward to an authentic adventure: from the recently opened hotel in Marrakech's trendy district with a rooftop pool to a traditional kasbah and a magical desert camp in the Agafay Desert - the accommodation alone was a highlight in itself. The same accommodations are included in the journaway Morocco Signature trip, so the travel agents have experienced the character of the journaway round trips for themselves. The visit to a riad followed by a cooking class on the roof terrace was a special taste journey through Moroccan cuisine and definitely an unforgettable experience.
